3 Ingredient Game Day Dip

3 Ingredient Game Day Dip

Tomorrow is the first football Saturday of the year! While I am not a huge football fan, I learned quickly after marrying my husband that it would take up part, if not most, of our Saturdays in the fall. Friends, food, and football…you get the picture! I am not sure if I’ll ever be totally on board with the whole, “let’s watch football from sun up to sun down,” but I have grown to enjoy our Saturday traditions in the fall and my favorite part of the day is preparing food!

Growing up my mom always made what we called at the Bell house our “game day dip.” This dip may not seem special to most, but it has been a part of watching football for as long as I can remember; my brothers can even be superstitious about watching an Alabama game without it.  It is simple, affordable, and delicious!

Here is how it goes….

1 8oz package of cream cheese

1 15oz can Hormel Chili with Beans

8 oz grated cheddar cheese

Begin by lining your baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Then spread the softened package of cream cheese along the bottom of the pan.

Next pour the can of chili. Spread evenly.

Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.

Bake on 375 degrees until the cheese bubbles.

What are your Saturday traditions in the fall? What are your go to “game day” recipes?

  1. We love buffalo chicken dip at our house. It has 5 ingredients; Chicken in a can, cream cheese, shredded cheese, any type of wing sauce and bleu cheese dressing. Always a hit. But I am going to have to try yalls recipe now.
